Hello and welcome to Steve, Shellie, Deron, Jasen, and Prestin's "Canvas" beginning in July 2007. This marked the month of the end and beginning of a new season for our family. Moving from Queensland, Australia to California, USA has been quite an adventure! We want to share our journey with you, our precious family and friends.... we are so excited to see how God "paints" the canvas of this new season. With heaps of love, The Smith fam!

Purlie
Purlie continues to steal hearts and attention. Here she relaxes under a comfy blanket.Yes, she is as silky as she looks! Here she is overseeing that Jasen does his school work correctly, or at least being a moral support for him! She loves to hang around wherever we are at.Purlie on her elevated home in Deron's room. Being affectionate while Shellie doing some encouragement on her cell phone. She really is this cute and she knows it!She does get pretty laid out when she sleeps.Patiently letting me take these photos.
We have never regretted bringing her with us from Australia!!! October 13th marked her 8th birthday!
Wii comes home!
We have been blessed to bring Wii into our home. We have found it to be a great family activity after grandma goes to bed and we can invade the front room. Jasen gives his all as he throws the virtual bowling ball down the alley.
Deron multi-tasking... bowling and doing stuff on his notebook simultaneously.
Left with a split!
Prestin with a sweet toss.
We have just added Wii Fit to our selection and Shellie is really getting into it.

Flipstock
In late August Deron participated in an Arts & Music Festival through Flipside called Flipstock. It was a great opportunity to see unchurched folks come into the church building to hear popular music and check out all sorts of artistic expressions. Mnay of these folks would normally never step foot into a church building, but have had several misconceptions of "church" demolished!
