On the ice!

Prestin went with the youth group from Flipside to ice skate and play broomball. I think this was his very first time ice skating. He did quite well, with only a few painful falls on his bottom!

Prestin's years of field hockey in Australia hardly prepared him for this broomball competition. He totally had the style, but no one else played by any rules!!!

High tech has provided us a wonderful tool. Our world has grown so small. Prestin is able to stay in touch with friends from Australia with ease. Here he is skyping with Luke (Australia) and playing stuff for him on his guitar.

Shellie & her special M&M friends

Prestin turns 17

Big 1-7!!! Prestin, the gentle giant, celebrated this huge day at grandma's house! Jorge from Flipside was Prestin's special guest.They broke world and Olympic records on Wii.

Locked in our bedroom we held a special and private pressie opening ceremony for Prestin the night prior to the huge celebration. By the way, Deron felt compelled to share his special coin of promise in this photo shoot.

Vande's depart for Georgia

Stef got out with some of her friends for a day at Huntington Beach, Shellie was included! Though it was cool, and even misty inland, they had a beautiful day. It was one of those farewell times! The Vande's were prayed for and released at Flipside on Sunday 12 October. Here their home group surrounds them with love and prayer. It was a deep moment! Final farewell's at grandma's house!

Grandma turns 81

Shellie prepared a special afternoon tea for LaVona's birthday. A good friend of Shellie's put together some beautiful invitations which went out to several of mom's friends. And Shellie put together a five star spread of goodies. It was a special treat for LaVona!

We also celebrated Grandma's 81st birthday as a family at Ken & Pam's place. Here she is opening pressies and cards with Gene & Wanda looking onGrandma and her kids!
